Presented by:  "Out there First Aid"

What to bring; Please bring your layers, rain gear, toque, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, hiking boots, rubber boots, or sturdy footwear, hiking poles, traction aids, etc. as we may be ‘Going off trail’ now and then and it can get slippery, wet and mucky at times of rain! As well; Water  bottle, snacks/lunch, chair (if you like) , notebook and pen (optional) .

Come dressed for the weather as we go all day, rain or shine.

If you're keen this is the first aid knot we use in the course.

And of course the hypothermia dance to practice!

I always include the list of the 10 Essentials for folks to think about but they are not required for the day!

The Ten Essentials

2. Fire-making supplies – a lighter(inside pocket in plastic bag), fire starter (can be homemade), candle, piece of pitch wood, etc..

3. Whistle – one that is shrill, works in cold and wet conditions, and will penetrate upwind through a storm(fox 40 style)

4. Navigation aids – a quality compass and map of the area

5. Sun protection – sunblock, lip balm, sunglasses, and a hat

6. First aid kit – Complete and unexpired, sized for the adventure.
