Come spend the day by the river with us at our first inaugural Women’s Learn to Fly Fish event, put on by Bow River Fly Fishing Company. We will learn knot tying—yes, you’re going to tie your own knots. Fly casting: learn the basic fly cast on dry land, and then move to the water to practice. Fishing at the end of the day—showing you what to do with that rod and line after your cast hits the water. Reading water and how to fish it: learn where the fish are likely to be and why. How to rig your fly rod. All levels are welcome, but the course is designed for beginners. We encourage lots of questions, lots of tangles, and don’t be afraid to mess it up!
What’s Included: All equipment needed, guides/instructors, list of common flies, detailed lesson book for each participant, equipment recommendations (not affiliated with any manufacturers or fly shops), coupon for $100 off any of our offered float trips, BBQ lunch for the group.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn the basics of fly fishing in a supportive and friendly environment. All you need is a willingness to learn and a fishing license. This event is happening rain or shine, so dress accordingly.
